Star Chaser

Ok, so this is one of my three oc for mlp, her name is Star Chaser, a Pegasus from Canterlot

Her story:

Long long ago, before the mane six, before the rise Nightmare Noon and before the rule of the two sisters, the night sky was practically bare. Nothing but the moon illuminated the dark heavens, as stars were rare to the citizens of equestria.

It stayed so for centuries. It was then the lands were ruled by a certain chaotic Draconequus, who threatened his subjects with devilish tricks and pranks. Until two Alicorns, with their elements of friendship, overthrew the dictator to a life of stillness and tranquility.

After Discord's banishment to stone, the sisters gained their power over Equestria and restored harmony across their kingdom.
Not long after they appointed a bloodline of Pegasi to keep check over their few stars, to nurture and protect them. They bestowed upon the hard working ponies the title of Equestria's 'Star Keeper'
This family of Star Keepers has lasted for over thousands of years. Generations upon generations. Even after the banishment of Nightmare Moon, the family tree grows ever more.

Which leads us to three Pegasi, a mother, a father, and a daughter.

The mother a kind, shy mare with a heart of gold by the name Strata Galixa, the father a strong willed, emotional stallion with soft, loving eyes named Noctem Havensa. And the daughter, an asocial, intellectual with no interests aside from family and astronomy, her name was Star Chaser. The filly knew from an early age she would assume her parents' role and earn her responsibility for Equestria's stars.

But this came earlier than expected. It was a night of star gazing, prepping and studying. Strata and Noctem set up camp in Ponyville's Everfree forest, due to Canterlot's nasty light pollution problem. They knew nothing of the Everfree's danger, That was until a pack of Timber wolves tore into their tent, and, well...

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months as Star Chaser held onto hope for her parents' return.

They did not.

Many tears ensued. With a heavy heart, Star Chaser resumed their role and became Equestria's Star Keeper. She now resides in Canterlot's observatory, alone. Being one pony, her job requires every ounce of energy, and them some.

Due to constantly over worked nature she has next to no friends, aside from the two princesses, who grew close with her family line. Her work schedule has trained her to be an insomniac, allowing her about two hours of sleep a day. She is rather uncomfortable around other ponies, save for the princesses of course, who visit her almost daily, for work reports, updates, possible threats and the occasional anti-sleep spell from Princess Luna. 

likes: the night, silence, folk tales, legends, myths etc. Candles, Books, astronomy, space, constellations and telescopes

dislikes: bright lights, loud noises, fireworks, crowded areas and guests in the observatory

friends: the Royal sisters ( They serve as her "bosses" )

place of residence: Canterlot observatory

Behaviour: due to her lack of social interaction she is very awkward and all around not very well mannered. She only ever had to take care of herself, so it is hard for her to feel empathy, or remorse. She is not at all rude, per se, but she come off as selfish or self absorbed. It is also not uncommon for her to spend days at a time in the observatory, doing nothing more than work. Because of this she has developed a very strange sleep schedule, spending about two hours of sleep every 24 hours. Due to this, she is often very tired and overworked.

sexuality: she has absolutely no interest in presuing a romantic relationship, but she is aware she has the responsibility to continue the star keeper bloodline. 

It it is also very difficult for her to talk about her parents or their deaths.
She tries as hard as she can to suppress and ignore her grief with work. This only leads her to feel even more alone, broken, and feel as though she is but a shadow of her parents and even of her former self, which she also suppresses, creating a vicious cycle.
This makes her seem cold, as her suppression leads her to communicate emotion very poorly.
She has developed serious abandonment issues because of her parents' abrupt demise, and she has become attached to someone, she becomes unbearably anxious when they leave, fearing they will never come back, or even get hurt.

mane & tail: her mane and tail are irridecent, meaning if you look at them from different angles they shift between different hues of pinks, purples and blues. In addition, they also have a starry pattern.

eyes: red

accesories: golden earrings and a golden ring around the base of her tail. (The ring is an heirloom) and a silver, star-shaped badge on her chest (not visible in this pic) that symbolises a ponie's status of star keeper.

fears: mistakes, the ever free forest, timber wolves, her parents' death and the world outside her observatory. 

Misc:

She named the two brightest stars over equestria Strata and Noctem, in her family's memory.

Her observatory, or, "office", is incredibly cluttered and messy. Stacks upon stacks of open books, loose papers, loose papers ripped from books, telescopes and star maps surround her work space.

Her work schedule does not have any room for food, so she often eats only ramen for days.
however, her favourite food is garlic spread cheese on baguette, her family would eat this often on special occasions.
